We're creating a platform for aspiring writers, hobbyists, tinkerers, poets, screenwriters, and avid readers to co-create and collaborate on literary projects.
Visualize a tree. From the seed, a story takes root. If it is a compelling story, it will grow and begin to branch out in many different directions from a tiny sapling to an enormous tree with leaves suspended by strong branches and a substantial trunk. This tree may spawn additional saplings and eventually with work, care, and time, a forest grows.
If you have a great idea, but don't know how to start, submit an idea or plant a seed to have other writers contribute pages to it. Each page submitted can be critiqued, edited, reviewed, discussed and rated into the story's canon.
Have you ever wondered what happened to a side character in a story? Netyarn's non-linear story engine allows writers to branch from existing projects to explore other avenues within a story.
You as the author "own" the rights to your pages. If your pages are highly regarded and established as part of the canon, you own the rights to those pages and that part of the story. Is it possible to publish these stories into books? Why not? Could you receive royalties on your contributions to successful Netyarn projects and page popularity? Absolutely! As a writer, you can also upload a finished or abandoned project to get feedback from avid readers and editors while retaining ownership. Netyarn will parse the pages and create the project for you. Dust off those old manuscripts and create a new project!
Netyarn is truly a community driven content platform bridging technology and creativity. Do you remember those chose-your-own-adventure books you loved as a kid? How would you feel about a book that rather than a couple of linear storylines provided a myriad of paths for the story to take? You can either read only the canon or highly rated yarns through the story or blaze your own path.
